Figuring Out Muse’s Life Purpose
On a recent trip Muse sought for the focus and learning to be on Clarity, Love, Direction, and Purpose.
Clarity and Love did come, in a renewed awareness of the abundance of blessings surrounding him.
Direction and Purpose came later, and in a slightly different way. With a twist.
Instead of Direction and Purpose direction, he found Meaning. And the Meaning in his life is his children. And the Direction and Purpose is about giving them the best possible life, and there are 2 parts to that:
- One is in shaping the world around them to be the best possible world,
- And the other is in helping shape them to be the best version of themselves.
The best way to help shape children, as most everyone knows, is to model behaviour. So that means Muse needs to be the best version of himself.
The first bit, about shaping the world, that can be tricky. It’s a loaded one simply because a lot of harm is done in the name of creating a better world — so it can’t all be about being idealistic.
Shaping the world is safely, and well, done in little action; like going for a walk beside a creek after school, and then going to the park to play with friends. Prioritising happy and healthy activities that the children love.
Focusing on each day and each moment.
That looks like an answer.
So profound. So cliche.
Is it not always the way.
