A quick entry.
It’s been a long while since I’ve written anything.
There has been a lot going on. And I’m not just talking about COVID.
I’m really happy with the way my business is developing and wanted to share a few simple things that have been revolutionary for me lately.
The first, and biggest one, has been making the choice to sit in any discomfort that arises.
When there is that funny feeling in my gut, because some emotional trigger has been activated, instead of distracting from it in some way, I stop and be still and feel what it is. Not as a mental exercise; just letting myself feel the feeling.
As simple as that.
I asked what was needed for me to move forward and the response I got was that I needed to heal myself. Which wasn’t something I was expecting, because I don’t think of myself as wounded generally.
And then, some time later, when I asked how I heal myself, I got the answer that it was simply by being present. All Eckhart Tolle’s stuff; if you want to know more then start by reading The Power of Now.
So I’ve been doing that.
And where it has been most profound is around my fears.
I’ve had situations arise that I’d like to run from (and being self employed again and not having guaranteed income has been one of those — and I’d like to run back to a regular job, rather than give this…
