Angel and I have decided to write down an intention-and-agreement document about our relationship. This is that document.
This is for ourselves, and we thought it would be powerful to publish it, and possibly even helpful to others.
Needs
- Kris: I want to have a relationship which is authentic, which means, deeply honest about not just thoughts, but also emotions, and especially emotional triggers
- I believe a much deeper connection is possible than what we have been sharing and I’m not willing to continue to settle for less
- Passion and connection are a need for Kris
- I need all of me to be welcome in this relationship, and if there are parts of me that scare you (trigger your stuff), then I think its fair to ask you to look at those and not ask me to put those parts away
- It is non-negotiable that Angel feels 100% safe at all times
- Angel needs some deeper understanding around past events (email of grievances from 2022)
- We both acknowledge it is possible to feel afraid while doing deep work, and yet to be comfortable with being uncomfortable
