How to Do Live Streaming

In this time of COVID, a lot of people are taking their businesses online.

I recently put together this “how to” on live streaming for a client, and I thought it might be more widely useful now, so here it is.

Step by Step : Creating your own live stream

Initial Setup

You will need a Google account.

Then do the following :

1. Go To https://studio.youtube.com/
2. Click the Create button in the top right

3. Follow the steps to verify your account (usual text number sent to phone)

4. Now you wait … Google makes you wait 24 hours before activating streaming on your your account …

Creating a live stream

Oh! You’re back. Now you are ready to create your own live stream. It’s easy :

1. Go To https://studio.youtube.com/’
2. Click the Go Live icon

3. Click the WEBCAM tab

4. Give the Stream a title and click Next, then click GO LIVE
